• Cerebral Palsy: A condition in which brain damage affects body movement and muscle coordination. Cerebral palsy can occur with even the best medical care, but some cases result from medical negligence during deliveries.
• Erb’s palsy: A loss of mobility in the hand or arm. Erb’s palsy is often seen after difficult deliveries in which excessive pressure is exerted in an effort to free the child.
• Klumpke’s palsy: A trauma injury caused by excessive pressure to a baby’s neck or head during delivery that causes paralysis of the hand and wrist.
